Hi,

Is there anyway to password protect an excel file/report generated and distributed via email?

The option is not available actually on Qalyptus. But it is on our to-do list for future releases.

Recently we added the possibility to store reports on Cloud Storage services (SharePoint, Google Drive, OneDrive, and dropbox).

To distribute files securely, I recommend you distribute the report files on Cloud storage services like SharePoint or Google Drive and give access to the folder (create a shared link) only for the desired users.

You can send the shared link to the users via the email sent by Qalyptus after generating the reports.

Thank you for the reply, external user requires the excel report as an email but we will make alternative arrangements while we wait on a future release that incorporates this feature.

Hopefully not too distant future :rofl:
